Sub-Process
Sponsored by

A process can be divided into sub-processes that are logically related activities, arranged in serial or parallel order, that contribute to the mission of the process. For example, selecting a political party gubernatorial candidate is an example of a sub-process for the process of electing a governor for the State of Texas.

Processes are divided into sub-processes to minimize the time required to improve the process and/or to provide particular focus on a problem, a high cost area, or a long-delay area.
