Sequential activities are done one after the other, in serial
fashion. Later activities cannot be carried out until the earlier
activities are completed. Parallel activities, on the other hand,
are done simultaneously. Later activities may or may not be carried
out, depending on the successful completion of an earlier activity
and the existence of required inputs for the later activities.
