A process map is a graphical picture of the actual workflow through
a company. Process maps are typically given names that relate
to all the work that gets done between their beginning and end
states. A process map creates a vocabulary for discussing an
organization’s business processes.

techniques for process mapping, such as the “swim lane” and
flowcharting.
