| The process designer
is responsible for optimizing the design
of processes from the organization’s perspective.
A process designer must:
- understand the goals and objectives of an organization and the
process to be designed
- understand and integrate the needs of the various stakeholders
in a business process
- be trained in the diagramming methods used to visually represent
processes in an organization
- be a strong communicator, to ensure that various constituents
understand the process design and that he or she listens to and
understands their input, as well
- be or work closely with a subject matter expert related to the
process at hand
