A policy is a company-endorsed position regarding the manner
in which a business process is to be performed. Often, when process
improvements are being made, formerly good business rules may
no longer be appropriate for the new process. In these situations,
it is important to have a policy/rules-making entity in place
to resolve conflicts quickly.
