Cycle time is the total amount of time required to completely
change all of the elements of one business process (people, machines,
workflow, and activities) to accommodate another business process.
|
Cycle time indicates
a recurrent time of change – not a one-time change – as
processes are switched, using the same, similar, or shared resources.
The goal with every cycle time is to reduce it to the lowest
time possible.
